“Splash In and Dash Out’ and try you first AQUATHON!
The perfect entry level event to try your first “splash IN, dash OUT” – safe, fun, male and female 13 years+
TRYAQUA can be enjoyed by all ages and fitness levels- is a safe and fun way to test the swim and run fun of AQUATHON!
There are no ‘official’ timing, you can wear flippers, but do ask you can competently swim 200m.
An achievable 200m ‘splash’ swim, that takes you only a little off shore in enclosed waters and 1km out (2km total) and back run along the waters side ‘Bluemile’
So come on, get involved and TRYAQUA!
How to “TRYAQUA?”
- Aquathon is a swim followed by a run, jog or walk…

- you don’t need special training or equipment – cossies, shorts, wetsuit, tee shirt, joggers..your call!
- From a sandy shore line start in knee deep water (in small group) you swim first, with lifeguards on the ready, than its a short 30m run up the sand to an area ‘transition’ where your shoes (you place them / plus any other gear) await…..swap goggles for joggers, and exit the run for a 2km (1km out and back flat scenic course..)
- Ladies in one group, gents in the next
- Flippers? – Yes sure can!
- Timing- no this is for fun..or hey perhaps time yourself?
- head to finish line and a massive achievement !!
- Grab some water, refreshments and enjoy the activities that continue

Of course, any one can enter and have a go..
Is it safe? Yes, and thousands will agree- our reputation is outstanding and we ensure all efforts to make it as safe as possible. You are though responsible and so need to factor the event, distance and ensure adequate readiness
